Pain Medicine Fellowship in New York City
Dear Prospective Fellow:
Thank you for the interesting pursuing a Pain Medicine Fellowship with Unique Pain Medicine. We offer fellowship training in out facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
We provide a procedural oriented non-ACGME accredited training environment for excellence in patient care and teaching. We annually accept two fellow positions for a one-year each, (July 1st and January 1st) in interventional pain medicine.
Training includes analysis and management of acute and chronic pain patients with emphasis on spine care.
Fellows receive an individualized interventional experience that equals or exceeds other ACGME fellowships in the number of procedures performed and complexity of cases, including sympathetic nerve blocks, facet blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, epidural steroid injections, peripheral nerve blocks, discography, kyphoplasty, and peripheral joint injections. Fellows receive additional education through lectures and seminars. Weekly educational sessions include lectures, grand rounds, fellow driven journal clubs, and multidisciplinary pain conferences.
Fellows are expected to feel comfortable leading a pain care team and fostering a high level of communication and collaboration with various other specialists. Pain fellows achieve a longitudinal care experience with patients dealing from chronic pain over the course of their one year in fellowship training.
