Dr. Armando Iannicello truly saved me. After a serious spinal injury, I suffered from constant pain and was unable to sleep properly for almost 10 months. I tried everything—physical therapy, numerous emergency room visits, consultations with spine surgeons, and injections performed by other doctors—but nothing gave me meaningful relief. Dr. Iannicello’s injections were completely different. He performs every procedure with exceptional precision, care, and attention. After his treatment, I was finally able to sleep and feel like a human being again. Even though the relief may be temporary, the difference in my quality of life has been incredible. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Iannicello for his professionalism, skill, and genuine dedication to his patients. Thank you, Doctor, for giving me relief when nothing else helped. I have been to Unique Pain Medicine twice now, and I am about to buy flowers for my friend who recommended them. The whole staff has been wonderful and sweet. After months of various methods of pain management with little success, this was the first place to give me any sense of relief. I feel like so many times when going to a doctor for pain that you can’t obviously see, you have to advocate so hard for yourself and still they are skeptical if you’re being truthful or over exaggerating. 2/27/26 I came back. Had a few blockers done as I wrote below, but today I had an ablation done-went straight home and laid down. I feel good No pain, just a lil tight. Want to say head Nurse Erania is Amazing, anesthesiologist Robert; cute n sweet . Love everyone from front office to MA’s to Back surgical staff. ♥️ See you all in April. 12/16/25 Im back to see Dr Armando I and Staff. Last injections (8) lasted me till last week. I have been pain free (Back) since then. My physical therapist stated that my back is still tender ( where I fell and Bruised my back ) but lil by lil Im getting better. I now can  differentiate my back pain and the Fibromyalgia back pains. The Staff are all too kind  Anesthesiologist  Nurses MA too are awesome. Dr Beaufort Referred me  and My next f/up is 1/9/26. See you Then Dr Armando Dr Iannicello and Staff are Wonderful. Second visit with him. He explained everything well. Second injection in my lower back straight across this time. Dr. Mann is so kind, caring always willing to accommodate, and provides such safe care. The anesthesiologists are so professional. The nursing team is attentive and know the procedure so well. You are there as a patient and out quickly. There is no long wait times they have very rapid turn around you can tell they understand you are in pain and want to relieve you in the safest way possible. I can’t thank them enough. What is so special about Unique Pain Medicine are the doctors. This is the first doctor’s office that I have gone to and the doctors really listen to your issues. A special shout out to Dr Michael he is so caring, he explains everything that he is doing and really focus on your issues. Unique Pain Medicine is (literally) a lifesaver.  Before coming here I had no idea that these options existed and that  I could live this pain free. I didn’t realize how long I had been adjusting my everyday life to accommodate for pain. More importantly, I am impressed and so appreciative of their bedside manner.  Drs. My experience with Unique Pain Medicine has been fantastic. I came with severe lower back pain,  and about 2 hours later I left the office after my epidural anti-inflammatory injection feeling much better! Dr. Michael Schechter is truly a remarkable doctor, a highly knowledgeable and experienced professional, with great bed side manners, very friendly and attentive listener. He clearly explains the issue and gladly answers your questions. Dr. Schechter is genuinely interested in his patients well-being and does his very best to help patients. His colleagues, Dr. Mila Mogilevsky, anesthesiologist Dr. Kotlyar (who himself is one of a kind!), medical assistants - all medical personnel also are exceptional: highly professional and truly empathetic. The staff in Brooklyn and Manhattan offices are very courteous, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. I could see how Ms. Natalya who worked on the front desk in the Brooklyn office always went extra mile to help all patients there. Mr. Michael who works on the front desk in the Manhattan office always calls and friendly reminds about the upcoming appointment and makes sure all your requests are satisfied. Dr. Ionnocello is a respectful, kind, and compassionate professional. He took his time taking down my history and explaining everything to me in simple terms. I never felt rushed and I felt he treated me like a human being and not a number. The epidural injection that I received from him was right on and I felt immediate relief. I took my husband to Unique Pain management for his lower back pain. I called and was able to see a physician same day. My husband is afraid of needles and doctors in general, but Dr Vitaly Kotlyar made him feel very comfortable. Procedure was done under light anesthesia, everything was explained in great detail. Nursing staff, front desk everyone were very professional and comforting . Most importantly-my husband’s back significantly improved. I Came in with alot of soreness and pain. It never even occured to me that after my accident occured, I would be left with a mild concussion (I felt like I went 12 rounds with mike Tyson). Michael Schechter, M.D is wonderful! I was lucky enough that The office is in the building that I work in so it was very convenient. Staff and Dr. are so friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. They have access to Lenox Hill radiology MRIs that I had and we’re able to give me injections for my neck pain on the first appointment, I’m so glad I found this practice and will definitely be back. I must say I hate bothering people. But if I bothering the staff at unique pain than they are in trouble cause Dr.ianicelllo and his staff is hard to replace. Dr. Mann is probably the most brilliant diagnostician I have ever met.  The office is state of the art and Unique has links to all the major hospitals and imaging centers so they can access your x-rays, MRIs, and CT scans instantly.  The are prepared to solve the pain problems and have a great list of physical therapists to support you.  Unique is one of the great finds in New York. At 36, after going from a slew of doctors, chiropractors, pain management clinics, physical therapists, etc... It seemed, my only options were a wheelchair or combination of surgical options (more than one surgery). Due to having Systemic Lupus and Fibromyalgia (amongst other conditions), I wanted to heavily weigh my options and find the least invasive procedure. Most doctors suggest the most invasive procedures as they will make more and quicker moneys. In terms of pain management, they have an unhealthy tendency to overprescribe too. Well, in Unique Pain Medicine, I found the perfect place for me. A place that will make my life functional for the first time in many years, while not pushing the envelope in over invasion of my body (my temple). They will never over prescribe, overuse anesthesia, or perform more procedures than are actually necessary. I have been with them since 2017, and my overall health has improved about 95%.  At 40, I have to think that not being in pain has removed a major stressor that, I’m sure was triggering my Lupus flares at times. Pain can certainly be a factor as it triggers stress, and stress triggers flares. Anyone out there with SLE, I’m sure understands this to a ‘T’.  As an added bonus, I’ve even lost quite some weight as I’m not a lot more active as a result of my increase in activity. This was probably one of the best experiences I've ever had, from the second I got in. Everyone was so kind and caring; they could see I was in a lot of physical pain and did everything to ensure I was comfortable. I'm also very scared of everything medical, but they did everything to make sure I understood what was going to happen. I ended up getting an epidural that was pain-free, quick, and overall great. I have gone to pain management at this establishment and their whole team of doctors and nurses are amazing. My mother is 93 years old and has suffered from multiple back fractures. Dr. Mann and his team patched her up and she now lives a painless life. I personally go to the clinic for my knees and hips and after I leave the office, I feel whole. Now a days it is very hard to find doctors who are compassionate and won't try to rush you out of their office within 15 minutes. I came into the office because I had some very, very painful sciatica. Dr. schechter immediately knew what was going on with me. Communicated very clearly. The options i had for treatment. Listened to my concerns. And when I had to do a couple of other tests because of my insurance his office was good with scheduling, calling me back, and getting me the treatment I needed. I ended up getting a shot in my spine. I was nervous but they made me feel very comfortable. He explained everything he was doing. I initially went to him because he had great ratings on zocdoc. Dr. Mila Mogilevsky is an excellent and experienced doctor with extensive knowledge and an individual approach to patients. Thanks to her, I live without pain, despite serious changes in my spine and complications in the form of polyneuropathy. After the procedures performed here (rf lumbar nerves ablation), I also don’t need to use pain medications. My doctor there is Armando Iannicello. He is warm with an excellent bed side manner and explains everything he's doing during your procedure, which puts you at ease. I've been seeing Dr. Michael Schechter at Unique Pain Medicine since last September, initially for an emergency when my neck wouldn't turn. He resolved the issue during my first visit and promptly referred me for an MRI, where he diagnosed something I wasn't aware of. Since then, I've been seeing him once or twice a month for chronic pain, and I'm so glad I found him. He's a great listener and always ensures his patients feel comfortable throughout their appointments. The anesthesiologist and the entire clinical crew are also very friendly. I have had many years of horrible back pain and finally decided to get it treated. I found this place after being recommended by some friends who also see Dr Mogilevsky. She always takes my pain seriously and takes her time to listen to my concerns and questions. Dr Kotlyar and his anesthesia assistant also always provide great services and make sure I am comfortable during and after the procedures. I always walk out with 0 pain. This place is wonderful. I was in pain with sciatica. So l needed to look for pain clinic asap. I googled  pain clinic that makes same day appointments. unique pain medicine poped up on my screen I called an l got the appointment.  I went to the clinic, my pain  was gone l went home happy.  I needed to go back for another procedure on my knees my daughter was getting marry in September and l wanted to dance in her wedding.  Doctor Schechter is awesome he made my dream come true, to dance at my daughters wedding.  He makes me feel calm when he talks to me.  He listens to me. He is very compassionate, efficient and effective and he makes sure I'm relieved from the pain.  Thank you Dr. Schechter!  All the doctors and workers at the clinic are very nice friendly they make me feel at home once l walk in.   I'm much more then happy with Unique Pain Clinic. Dr Mila and the anesthesiologist are the best! I was nervous after getting a few epidural cortisone shots and wanted anesthesia and the doctores heard me, and immediately told me what I needed to know and were very thoughtful and kind. Very rarely am here also longer than an hour. I am literally in and out pretty quick which everyone knows sometimes a doctors visit can take all day. I have never had that at unique pain medicine! I'm a professional cameraman in the New York Tri State area and have been for thirty years+. Over the years I never had such a debilitating pain as I had for the past 3 weeks from either work or a sudden move which included lots of lifting. I had gone to a few doctors and they were more concerned with getting paid from the health insurance carrier then taking on the issues that were needed to eliminate my pain. This place was awesome!!! They were able to schedule me immediately. The Doctors knew exactly what needed to be done to get me on my feet again in just a day.
